Philadelphia Eagles running back DeMarco Murray prepares for a play with Sam Bradford in 2015."

With the Chip Kelly experiment officially over in Philadelphia, the Eagles must look to rebuild after the damage their franchise has sustained. It goes much deeper than winning and losing, the Eagles have several contract situations they need to address because it could change the course of their franchise.

NFC East staples such as LeSean McCoy, Jeremy Maclin, and DeSean Jackson were all jettisoned from the team with little or no reason why. The explosiveness in this offense has dried up and big playmakers are hard to come by. Even Kelly's draft picks seemed to not make a ton of sense at the time and have produced accordingly.

The Eagles will begin this process by deciding whether or not they will retain Sam Bradford. A new head coach will likely try to find other options as Bradford was Kelly's handpicked choice at quarterback to fit his specific scheme.

They may not have a choice as there are not a lot of options out there, sure Brock Osweiler, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Kirk Cousins are all set to be free agents but they will all likely get resigned and with Mark Sanchez as the only quarterback on this roster for 2016 the Eagles may have to bite the bullet and give Bradford a new deal. As far as the draft goes the Eagles will likely be out of position to grab a top ranked quarterback.

The Eagles currently have 16.5 million in cap space however they have 12 pending free agents including Bradford.

The running back debacle is a whole different story. With Murray counting $8 million against the cap if he stays and $13 million if he is released the Eagles may be forced to keep both high priced running backs heading into 2016. The Eagles will likely need a total overhaul on the offensive line starting with the releases of Jason Peters and Evan Mathis who together would count $13.3 million against the cap.

The Eagles will need to spend a couple of seasons rebuilding and retooling before they become genuine threats for a playoff run.
