The MLB winter meetings are coming and some players mentioned in trade rumors this offseason include Aroldis Chapman, Shelby Miller, Sonny Gray, Andrew Miller, Brett Gardner, Starlin Castro, Ivan Nova, Jonathan Papelbon, Mark Trumbo and Hanley Ramirez.

The Reds are motivated to trader Aroldis Chapman this offseason, as the closer is heading towards free agency and is likely to be moved. According to Jon Heyman at CBS Sports, the Dodgers have shown interest in Chapman and teams like the Houston Astros, Nationals and Blue Jays have also been mentioned as potential landing spots. The Reds reportedly wanted a "massive haul" for Chapman from the Red Sox and that led the team to target Craig Kimbrel from the Padres.

Braves pitcher Shelby Miller is generating a lot of interest on the market and Heyman reports that up to "20 teams" have checked in on Miller. Jerry Crasnick at ESPN reports that the Chicago Cubs and the Boston Red Sox both would "match up well" for a deal for Miller. The Yankees have reportedly checked in as well, while the Giants and Dodgers have also been mentioned as options. Heyman reports that the Braves are asking for big names for Miller, including Jorge Soler from the Cubs, Joc Pederson from the Dodgers and Luis Severino from the Yankees.

Andrew Miller is reportedly available for the Yankees this offseason and the Boston Globe reports that the Astros could be interested in making a deal. The Diamondbacks previously showed interest in Miller and this comes as the Yankees have also reportedly been open to dealing Brett Gardner and Ivan Nova. NJ.com reports that the Yankees likely would want starting pitching back in return or a player with multiple years of team control.

Starlin Castro has come up in trade rumors for the Chicago Cubs and the Yankees are one team that has been mentioned as an option along with the Mets. Both teams have needs at second base and the Cubs could look at trading Castro if the team signs Ben Zobrist. According to ESPN Chicago, the Cubs are interested in Zobrist and if the team does add him as a free agent, Castro likely would be traded.

Jonathan Papelbon has been getting mentioned in trade rumors all offseason for the Nationals and he could be traded if the team pushes hard to sign Darren O'Day. According to MLB.com, Richard Justice reports that the Nationals would like to trade Papelbon, but it could be difficult since he has a $11 million salary for next season. Justice writes that the Oakland A's could consider a trade with Sonny Gray this offseason, but so far no deal is close to happening.

Mark Trumbo reportedly is a trade target for the Mariners and Fox Sports reports that the Orioles and the Rockies are potential options. The winter meetings always bring out some trade rumors and this year with free agency starting slow, teams could try and fill needs through deals.
