Head coach Chip Kelly of the Philadelphia Eagles talks with an official during the second half of the Eagles 23-20 loss to the Washington Redskins at FedExField on October 4, 2015 in Landover, Maryland."

With the Eagles staring at a losing season and another rebuilding project ahead of them the fans of the Philadelphia Eagles are just as happy as Chip Kelly is about coaching the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles have failed to reach even the lowest of expectations and it has nothing to do really with injuries more like incompetence.

The Eagles are falling apart at 4-7 after looking to have their sights set on the NFC East title. The Eagles will get to face the New England Patriots in week 13 a game that will likely see them fall to 4-8. The Eagles were dominated in week 12 by a Lions team that has been struggling to find their identity all season long.

Kelly may try to make some coaching changes as we head towards the end of the season, a couple of adjustments, but there is no remedy for defeat. For Kelly to safely keep his job the Eagles would need to win or at least compete for the NFC East title (at best). At worst Kelly is already has one foot out of the door and all of these personnel changes like losing LeSean McCoy, Jeremy Maclin, or trading Nick Foles for Sam Bradford could come back to haunt the Eagles in the long run. We are not even including the lost draft class of a coach who wanted total control.

Well for Kelly and the Eagles the right decision may come with a change of scenery. If Kelly moved on to the Tennessee Titans or USC, Kelly would be welcomed with open arms by a completely new fan base. Of course all of this Mariota to Kelly/Eagles would come full circle as the Titans will surely be looking for a new coach for the 2016 season.
