New York Giants starting guard Geoff Schwartz suffered a season ending injury as he has fractured his left leg.

The Giants offensive line has been banged up all season long and now they will be without a key piece on the offensive line. Schwartz had his leg rolled up on which initially looked like it would be some type of ACL/MCL injury however it was later deemed as a fracture. The Giants lost a big piece of this offensive line that has allowed Eli Manning to find enough time to get the ball to Odell Beckham JR plenty of times this season.

The Giants entering this matchup were already without two of their starting offensive lineman, this likely will only make the issue worse at the worst possible time for a team trying to keep pace in the NFC East. With the Philadelphia Eagles a mess and the Dallas Cowboys in the infirmary the Giants and Redskins are looking like the major players for the NFC East title.

With a loss to the Redskins today as well as the loss of one of their major offensive lineman this could begin to be an uphill battle for the Gmen as they have the toughest remaining schedule out of any of the NFC East teams.
