The Chicago Bears won over the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving night at rainy Lambeau Field 17-13 to improve to 5-6 and stay in the mix for an NFC wild card spot. Jay Cutler and the Bears defense performed well on the road and Chicago has now won three of the last four games.

The Packers took an early 7-0 lead in the game and had a chance at the end of the fourth quarter to score the winning touchdown, but Green Bay could not convert. Aaron Rodgers threw a pass to James Jones on third down, but the receiver could not hold onto the ball and the game was sealed after Davante Adams could not corral a pass on fourth down. Jay Cutler had 200 yards and a touchdown, while running back Jeremy Langford also had a score in the game.

Rodgers threw an interception late in the third quarter before the final drive to Tracy Porter and that helped set up the defense for a final stop. The Packers snapped a three game losing streak last week with a win over the Vikings, but the team has now lost two straight games at Lambeau Field. The Packers retired the number of Brett Favre on Thursday and the Bears spoiled that party a bit by getting the victory.

Rodgers completed 22 of 43 passes for 202 yards and a touchdown, while Cutler completed 19 of his 31 throws. Jeremy Langford had 48 yards rushing in the game on 12 carries and the matchup also saw the return of running back Matt Forte for the Bears. Rodgers was banged up in the third quarter after a hit from Lamarr Houston, but he was able to stay in the game.

The Packers fell to 7-4 in the game and they temporarily fell out of first place in the NFC North, as Minnesota is 7-3 and has not played yet this week. The Packers won over the Vikings last week in Minnesota to snap a three game losing streak. The Bears are now 5-6 after winning three of the past four games and the team is in the mix with the Seahawks and Buccaneers in chasing one of the NFC wild card spots.
