Barcelona won over Real Madrid 4-0 on Saturday in the latest El Clasico matchup from Santiago Bernabéu, pushing the club lead on the La Liga table to six points. Luis Suarez, Neymar and Andres Iniesta all scored goals and the team saw Lionel Messi return from a knee injury as a substitute.

Barcelona was dominant on Saturday and the win could put some pressure on Real Madrid heading into the next stretch of the season. The club went up early with goals from Suarez and Neymar before Iniesta had a goal after the first half. Suarez finished things off with a second goal later in the match and it ended up being the first home loss in 23 league games for Real in Madrid.

Barcelona is leading the league table standings with 30 points, while Real Madrid now has 24 after the loss. Messi was expected to return for the match for Barcelona and he came back in as a substitute in the second half after not starting the game. Messi's absence did not hurt Barca much, as the team remained on top of the league table and only lost one match overall.

Real Madrid had been playing very well at home this season and they had only allowed one home goal before Suarez made his mark in the first. According to the BBC, Suarez scored an impressive goal in the first half, as the score came after 24 passes, which is the most passes to set up a goal in the league this year. After Iniesta scored his goal to go up 3-0, Barca brought in Messi and he helped set up the second goal for Suarez.

Messi returned for Barcelona in the 57th minute of the match and that was his first appearance since having knee surgery in September. Real looked better in the second half, but the team could not get anything going and was left off the scoreboard for the match. According to ESPN FC, the four goal loss is the worst league defeat at home for Real Madrid in 105 matches and the last came in May 2009 against Barcelona.
