49ers Rumors: Shaun Draughn Fantasy Starter For Blaine Gabbert, Kendall Gaskins Sleeper Week 11, Colin Kaepernick Out 2016?

The San Francisco 49ers have Shaun Draughn and Kendall Gaskins as fantasy football start options for Week 11 as the team deals with injuries at running back. Blaine Gabbert remains the starter over Colin Kaepernick for Jim Tomsula and heading into 2016, Kaepernick could be out of the mix for the Niners after struggling this year.

According to Pro Football Talk, Blaine Gabbert will remain the starter into Week 11 and there is a chance that Colin Kaepernick may not get to start again this season. Gabbert did not do much in the win against the Falcons with 185 yards passing, two touchdowns and two interceptions, but he led the team to a victory and that has earned him another start from Tomsula. According to CSN Bay Area, Tomsula plans on going "week to week" with his starting quarterback and that means Gabbert will need to win or at least perform well to keep his job heading into Week 12.

Kaepernick's numbers this season have not been very impressive with just six touchdown passes and five interceptions and unless Gabbert falters, he could remain on the sidelines for the rest of the season. Kaepernick's future in San Francisco remains up in the air heading into 2016, as the team can move on from Kaepernick's contract heading into next season without too much of a hit.

Pro Football Talk reported earlier in the season that since Kaepernick only has injury-only guarantees left on his contract, he could be out for the team next season. Mike Florio writes that the team could save around $9 million if Kaepernick is cut before April 1 next year. Rand Getlin at NFL.com reported earlier in the month that there was a "strong sense that the 49ers' front office influenced" the move to bench Kaepernick. That could be a sign that the team is ready to move on from the QB next season.

This week if Carlos Hyde remains banged up, both Shaun Draughn and Kendall Gaskins could be options for fantasy owners. Draughn received the majority of the carries last game for the Niners and he finished with nearly 100 total yards on 20 touches. Draughn is the lead back ahead of Gaskins, but Gaskins could be a deep league pickup for owners if Hyde remains out in Week 11.

The Niners have been struggling this season to play with consistency and they come into Week 11 after the bye with a 3-6 record. The team won their last game over the Atlanta Falcons and now the Niners will match up with the Seattle Seahawks in a divisional battle. For as bad as the Niners have been playing, the team can creep back into the fringe of the playoff race in the NFC with a victory.

A 4-6 record isn't great for the first 10 games of the season, but the Redskins, Rams, Bucs and Seahawks all have four wins and are sitting just behind the Falcons and the Packers in the wild card heading into Week 11. The Niners are still likely going to end up in the top part of the draft this year, but a win on Sunday would give the team some hope for the season.
