The Eagles could not keep pace with some of the other members of the NFC East as they lost to the Miami Dolphins at home, however they could face bigger problems down the road.

Philadelphia Eagles starting quarterback Sam Bradford suffered a severe concussion causing him to have trouble remember the events that took place in the first half of the game. Bradford also suffered a grade II AC joint sprain in his non-throwing shoulder.

Originally it looked as if Bradford had suffered the same injury that fellow NFC East quarterback Tony Romo suffered a broken left clavicle however it seems as if the Eagles quarterback has not suffered any broken bones. The severity of the concussion is a source of a concern considering the Eagles backup quarterback is Mark Sanchez. Sanchez did not appear to be as efficient as he has been in the past, he threw an interception in the end zone that marked the end of this game.

If Bradford is out even a week with how tight this NFC East race is any serious injury could cost the Eagles a post season opportunity. The Eagles also lost Ryan Mathews to a concussion which depending on its severity could be a significant injury heading into week 11.
