Miami Dolphins Rumors: Jay Ajayi Returns As Fantasy Handcuff Behind Lamar Miller, DeVante Parker Out Week 10? Ndamukong Suh Angry At Officials

The Miami Dolphins remain winless in the AFC East after a loss against the Buffalo Bills in Week 9, but the team did get some strong play from running backs Lamar Miller and Jay Ajayi. Ajayi returned from injured reserve this week, while DeVante Parker was out again with a foot injury and could miss time into Week 10 for Miami.

The Dolphins started off 2-0 under Dan Campbell after the interim coach took over for Joe Philbin, but the team has done 0-2 since then, losing to divisional foes in the Patriots and the Bills. The team has given up over 30 points in each of the last two games and that came after the team averaged 41 points on offense in the first two games under Campbell. The Dolphins allowed Sammy Watkins to have a career day, while LeSean McCoy and Karlos Williams each had over 100 yards rushing. Tannehill put up some yards in the game with 309 passing yards, but he also had two lost fumbles and Miami could not get into a rhythm.

Ajayi made his season debut with the Dolphins and he was solid while carrying the ball five times for 41 yards. Ajayi was placed on IR with designation to return in the preseason after dealing with a rib injury and now he can help give some support behind Lamar Miller, who had another strong performance in Week 9. Ajayi is a versatile back and he showed some flashes of what he could do while averaging over eight yards per carry and he could be a good handcuff option for the rest of the season for fantasy owners.

Miller has been producing more since Campbell took over, as he has had over 100 total yards in three of his last four games. Miller had 175 yards rushing against the Texans a couple weeks ago and on Sunday he had 44 yards rushing along with two touchdowns and added seven catches for 97 yards out of the backfield. Miller has 478 yards this season and the bulk of that has come since Campbell took over, as the team has put more of a focus on the running game.

DeVante Parker has been dealing with a foot issue all season after having surgery over the summer and he was out for the game on Sunday. Parker had x-rays last week that came back negative, but he is dealing with a setback and now he could be out again in Week 10. Parker has not been able to get on the field much this season and he has just four catches for 49 yards this year for Miami.

Ndamukong Suh has had an up and down season for the Dolphins and on Sunday the defensive tackle was a bit miffed at the officials in the game against the Bills. According to the Palm Beach Post, Suh was upset with officials after not calling a play dead when Suh had wrapped up quarterback Tyrod Taylor. Suh was quoted as saying that it's about "player safety," as he would have had a sack on the play but Suh said that he was trying to not get hit with a flag. Suh felt the play should have been blown dead, but Taylor was allowed to throw the ball away while Suh was holding onto him.
