Oscar has scored a couple of goals in the blue shirt of Chelsea that would have stood out in any Brazilian team, and the young playmaker buoyed by his club's style of play has termed the Londoners the "Blue Brazil."

Chelsea, maligned for their playing style last season, have been much more easy on the eye this year, with their trio of playmakers - Juan Mata, Oscar and Eden Hazard - dazzling in both the English Premier League and the Champions League.

"We're the Blue Brazil," Oscar is quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror. "It's a pleasure to play for a team which attacks like this. I'm Brazilian so of course I like playing this style of football a lot.

"It makes me happy to be part of a team playing this way. It's very important to me to enjoy my football and to be with a club which has the same philosophy.

"I have already struck up a good understanding with Juan Mata and Eden Hazard and our relationship is improving with every match we play together.

"After every 90 minutes we feel as though we have a better understanding of each other's game and, hopefully, there is much more to come from us."

The 21-year-old scored a stunning goal in the Champions League game against Shakhtar Donetsk Wednesday, finding the target from near the halfway line, and Oscar believes it was one of the best he has ever scored. "Yes, that was a beautiful goal," he said. "I've not scored many better than that in my career and it's definitely the first time I've scored from that sort of distance.

"All four of my goals so far for Chelsea have come in the Champions League but that doesn't mean I've found it easier to play in Europe than the Premier League.

"I feel as though I've settled in well to both competitions. The most important thing is I am adapting to Chelsea and to my teammates and I have to keep that process going.

"The Premier League is a very different sort of football to what I was used to in Brazil and it does take some getting used to. I am adapting to my new environment but London is a marvellous place to live and I'm happy with my move.

"As a player and as a person, I still have a lot to learn and improve. I have to show what I am capable of but feel I am getting better with every day."
