Billy Donovan's team came to play in this matchup with the San Antonio Spurs. Russell Westbrook dominated the Spurs defense scoring 33 points along with 10 assists.

Kevin Durant came back and looked like his old self dropping in 22 much needed points. Donovan's calm demeanor seemed to rub off on the Thunder as they handled the final quarter as if they were in mid-season form.

Durant struggled from the field with his field goal percentage but is absolutely clutch getting to the line and knocking both shots down with little time left on the clock. Serge Ibaka returned to the floor with an efficient performance from the field hitting 4 of 9 field goals for 10 points and 5 rebounds.

This was a close battle until the waning seconds of the game but it must be a relief for the Thunder to defeat such a strong opponent in what almost seemed like a playoff atmosphere. The Thunder will need to keep their stars healthy in order to compete in the west as Durant will continue to find his rhythm in this young NBA season.

The Spurs were led by Kawhi Leonard who is looking to have quite an impressive season as he scored a career high 32 points and 8 rebounds in Wednesday's contest.
