Oct 28, 2015 07:47 PM EDT

The NY Mets and Kansas City Royals play Game 2 of the World Series on Wednesday night and the game is on TV from Fox and streaming from the Fox Sports Go website. The game starts at 8 pm ET and has Jacob deGrom taking on Johnny Cueto in the pitching matchup at Kauffman Stadium with KC leading the series 1-0.

The Mets come in after a draining loss on Tuesday that extended into the late hours after the Royals were able to tie the game late. Kansas City came back and won in 14 innings and now both teams will be back at it again. The Mets went down after the first pitch of the game with an inside the park homerun from Alcides Escobar and after that the team was able to bounce back. The Mets took a 3-1 lead before the Royals tied the game again and then the Mets went up 4-3 heading into the late part of the game.

The Mets has Jeurys Familia on the mound and he had been lights out in the postseason, not allowing a run in his appearances. That all changed on Tuesday, as he gave up the game tying home run to Alex Gordon and that pushed the game into extra innings. The Royals and Mets battled back and forth with their bullpens and eventually the Royals were able to break through and win the game.

The Mets now are down 1-0 in the series and they will try and leave Kansas City with the series at 1-1 after Game 2. Both teams had a number of pitchers come into the game and that could mess around with the bullpens moving forward. Chris Young will still start Game 4 for the Royals after pitching relief and he was strong for Kansas City coming in. Young had not hit 90 on the gun in a couple years, but he did it multiple times on Tuesday night.

The Mets will try to bounce back and they have Noah Syndergaard lined up for Game 3 and that will be at Citi Field. The team has Steven Matz after that and they will be hoping to get things going coming back to New York. If the Mets don't win at least one game over the next two, there is a chance that the series will not go back to Kansas City.

Terry Collins said that the team is ready to come back and they have put the first loss behind them. The Mets have had time off coming into this series after sweeping the Cubs and now they will try and get a win against the Royals to even things up.
