The Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants are playing live on the NFL schedule for Week 7 of the season and the matchup is from MetLife Stadium Sunday. The game starts at 4:25 pm ET and has Eli Manning and NY looking to bounce back after a tough loss to the Eagles, while Dallas will be starting Matt Cassel coming out of the bye week.
The Cowboys have been dealing with injuries to Tony Romo and Dez Bryant this season and while the WR had the chance to return for this game, Bryant has been ruled out. Bryant has been dealing with a foot injury since Week 1 against the Giants and while he started getting more work in this week, Bryant is not healthy enough to get back on the field for the Cowboys. Bryant will be out for a fifth straight game and the next chance for Bryant to get things going is against the Seattle Seahawks the following week.
Cassel is coming in to start for Brandon Weeden and he could give the team a slight upgrade after the loss to the Patriots before the bye week. La'el Collins is also coming into the starting lineup and the team plans on using Christine Michael more this week at running back. Joseph Randle has done a solid job as the starter, but the team will push Michael this week and that could give the team a boost against the Giants.
The Giants are coming off of a tough loss against the Eagles last week and now they will try and bounce back after losing the chance to stay in first place in the NFC East. The Giants offense has been solid this season and they are averaging around 24 points per game and this matchup could see some back and forth from both sides. The Giants defense has been up and down this year and they will need to limit the Cowboys to get a chance at winning this game. The offensive line for the Giants will be a key unit and the Cowboys have Greg Hardy looking to keep things going this week.
Odell Beckham has not been practicing, but he will play against the Cowboys and the Giants are hoping that he can make it through the game without any hamstring issues. Beckham was able to play last week and he got off to a hot start before being kept in check in the second half. The Giants were hoping to have Victor Cruz back by now, but the wide receiver is still dealing with a calf issues and will not be able to return this week.
