The Buffalo Bills are in London preparing for a Week 7 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars and their offense could look much different in the game. With injuries running wild on the roster, some appear more serious than others. As Tyrod Taylor heals from a knee injury, Sammy Watkins is wearing a walking boot while using crutches and Percy Harvin has already been ruled out for this week and possibly longer.
Harvin did not make the trip overseas for the Bills as his injured hip is being viewed as potentially more serious than the team was hoping. According to CBS Sports Insider Jason La Canfora, the Bills are prepared for a "long-term absence" of Harvin as he deals with another hip injury setback. This has been an ongoing issue for Harvin as the receiver will see a specialist in hopes of ending the problem. The Bills need Harvin. With injuries mounting, they can get away with not having the receiver against the Jaguars, but might not have the same luxury moving forward.
Watkins is another player whose status is up in the air for the Bills. According to ESPN's Mike Rodak, Watkins suffered an ankle sprain against the Bengals and arrived in London in a walking boot and crutches. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reports that the chances Watkins plays in Week 7 are slim to none meaning Robert Woods and Charles Clay would be the best options for the team against Jacksonville.
The Bills are getting LeSean McCoy back on the field which is a good thing since Karlos Williams did not make the London trip. The backup running back has been dealing with concussion issues for two weeks now. McCoy's return to the field at least helps balance the offense out while he will be very active in the passing game.
The Bills must also answer who will be their starting quarterback. Taylor has been dealing with a knee injury while EJ Manuel certainly looked the part of a starting quarterback in Week 6 despite not getting the win. Taylor told the media that he is prepared to start against Jacksonville while some believe sticking with Manuel is the better idea. Vic Carucci of the Buffalo News reported Taylor had no limitations in practice as the quarterback aims to be on the field.
"I don't see it as a big deal," Taylor said, via Newsday.com. "To me, it feels better than it did yesterday whether it's moving straight ahead of moving laterally as well. I'm comfortable with me going out there and playing the way I'm feeling right now."
