Pittsburgh Steelers

Antonio Brown/Markus Wheaton (Wide Receiver): Wheaton would be the unlikely hero for this game as he caught a 72 yard bomb that ended up giving the Steelers the lead early in the fourth quarter. Wheaton would finish the day with that lone target but he made it count.  Brown on the other hand put up another lackluster game for fantasy owners. Brown only hauled in 3 out of 6 targets for 45 yards. While Roethlisberger is away Brown may not be a valid fantasy option.

Le'Veon Bell (Running Back): Bell is the best player on the field for the Steelers now that Roethlisberger is injured. Bell should continue to lead in production as he is the only hope the Steelers have of surviving the time that Michael Vick will be their starting quarterback. Bell finished the day with 21 carries for 111 yards and a touchdown while hauling in 4 out of 5 targets for 16 yards.

San Diego Chargers

Antonio Gates/Ladarius Green (Tight End): Gates had a phenomenal return hauling in 9 out of 11 targets for 92 yards and 2 touchdowns. Gates clearly missed the field and felt like he had something to prove as he beat defenders all game long. Green was also featured as a big part of the Chargers offense while the Chargers receiving corps heal. Green finished the day catching all 5 of his targets for 50 yards.

Philip Rivers (Quarterback): Rivers had a great game especially after getting his security blanket back, Antonio Gates. Rivers went 35 out of 48 from the field for 365 yards, 2 touchdowns, and an interception. Rivers production should be on the upswing after getting one of his main targets back.

Keenan Allen (Wide Receiver): Allen had a quiet day in comparison to last week. Allen was the main guy covered all night long and he only managed to reel in 6 out of 10 targets for 57 yards.

Melvin Gordon/Danny Woodhead (Running Back): Woodhead has continued to be the more successful back in this time share with Melvin Gordon. The rookie can run very well in space however the Chargers offensive line often lets him down blocking. Now Woodhead catches the ball on passing downs in space allowing him to break off big chunks of yardage. Much like the situation with Jeremy Hill and Giovani Bernard, Woodhead has just been more valuable this season. Gordon finished his day with 15 carries for 42 yards and caught 7 of his 9 targets for 52 yards and a fumble. Woodhead on the other hand finished with 4 carries for 10 yards however he caught 5 of 7 targets for 66 yards.
