The Houston Texans need a win. The team is coming off two straight losses and are hopeful with Brian Hoyer now the starter they can get some momentum going their way. Injuries have been a huge hit to the team as they remain without a lot of wide receiver depth, but they are entering a very winnable game against the Jacksonville Jaguars which they hope to push Arian Foster and Hoyer towards a positive direction.

Hoyer is focused. The quarterback did all he could to get the win against the Indianapolis Colts, but ultimately came up short. The Texans have stated that Hoyer will remain the starter over Ryan Mallett and the quarterback is making it clear he is focused and not listening to any outside noise.

"I'm not concerned about that so much right now," Hoyer said, via ESPN.com. "I'm just concerned about winning the game. Having gone through what we've gone through at the quarterback situation, like I said, I'm going to take it one day at a time and then come Sunday, do whatever I can to help this team win and not worry about anything past that."

The Texans need Foster to be a part of that winning. The run game has been struggle for the Texans and they hope that changes in Week 6 as Foster's work load increases. With injuries in the receiving unit, the run game must be a focus. The Texans are one of the team's in the NFL that passes the ball more than running it and they want to change that in Week 6.

"As a lineman, you always take pride in the run game," left tackle Duane Brown said, via ESPN.com. "Wanting to be able to establish the line of scrimmage and run the ball consistently. We've only had one game where we really ran the ball as great as we think we can, and that's the game we won. It's definitely a point of emphasis throughout this week, and I think for the rest of the year."

The Texans are hopeful the long week will get players back on the field. According to the Houston Chronicle, both Cecil Shorts and Nate Washington are expected to be back against the Jaguars. Their absences allowed both Keith Mumphrey and rookie Jaelen Strong to have breakout games against the Colts. The improved rotation can only help Hoyer be more successful as he aims to truly cement himself as the starter for the remainder of the year.
