Oct 09, 2015 09:34 PM EDT

The NY Mets and Los Angeles Dodgers are starting the NLDS playoffs series on Friday night and Game 1 is from Dodger Stadium and is live on TV from TBS and streaming online from the channel. The game starts up at 9:45 pm ET and has Clayton Kershaw against Jacob deGrom in the matchup.

Both teams have strong pitching and they come in as division winners from this season. Kershaw will get the first game start and Zack Greinke will be next, while the Mets have lined up deGrom and Noah Syndergaard for the games in LA. Brett Anderson will face Matt Harvey in New York and that game will be the first in NYC for the Mets in the playoffs for a number of years.

DeGrom has been the most consistent pitcher for the Mets this season and Kershaw comes in after another dominating season, including putting up 301 strikeouts. Kershaw could end up winning another Cy Young, although Greinke is also a strong favorite and Kershaw comes in after going 16-7 this season with a 2.23 ERA. Kershaw has not always had great postseason success and he will try and shake that off for this game against the Mets.
