The Green Bay Packers could be without Davante Adams in Week 5 and that makes James Jones, Randall Cobb and Ty Montgomery the best fantasy football start options for Aaron Rodgers. The team has Richard Rodgers as a sleeper pickup with Andrew Quarless out, while Bryan Bulaga has returned to practice and could play again soon.

The Packers are undefeated this season despite dealing with numerous injuries and Adams has been banged up this year at various times. Adams came into the season as a sleeper pick for fantasy owners, especially after the injury to Jordy Nelson. Adams has not been able to stay on the field consistently and according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Adams was not able to practice on Wednesday and could be out for Week 5 for the Packers.

The team wants to be cautious with Adams, as they have Nelson out for the season. Fantasy owners should sit Adams no matter what, as he has not been effective yet this season and players like James Jones and Ty Montgomery could be better options. Cobb is always a quality start pick and this week he could see even more looks with Adams out. Jones has been a TD machine and fantasy owners should look to him as a solid option with Adams injured. Montgomery also has added value as a return man.

Adams has just nine catches for 92 yards in three games this season and he was inactive in Week 4 of the season for the Packers. Last year Adams looked like he was on the verge of a breakout with 38 catches for 446 yards as a rookie, but he has been unable to get things going yet. It has not hurt the Packers much, as the team is 4-0 and looking like one of the best teams in the NFC again.

Jones had five catches for 96 yards against the 49ers this past week and he was limited in practice on Wednesday, but is expected to play. Jones has caught a TD pass in each game this season apart from Week 4 and he has 17 catches for 317 yards along with four TD receptions. Jones and Rodgers have great chemistry and in 2012 they connected 14 times for touchdowns and this season Jones could be the leader with Nelson. Montgomery has just nine catches for 66 yards on offense and he is only worth a look in deeper leagues.

The Packers put Andrew Quarless on the IR with designation for return list and that makes Richard Rodgers a solid sleeper moving forward. Rodgers have five catches last week with a TD and this season he has 13 catches for 110 yards and two touchdowns and he could be a solid option for Aaron Rodgers with Quarless out. Fantasy owners should look at Rodgers as a solid sleeper this week against the Rams.

Bryan Bulaga is getting ready to come back, as the lineman was able to return to practice this week, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Bulaga had surgery on his knee to help repair a torn meniscus and he was able to participate in practice and the team will make a determination later in the week about his status.
