The Miami Dolphins have issues that extend well past their head coaching drama. Franchise quarterback Ryan Tannehill is now having to back track on comments he made towards the practice squad. As frustrations run high for the team, the offense is trying to get their issues worked out as everything is struggling at the moment. However after an intense practice on Wednesday, hope is high in the locker room.

Tannehill was not happy that there was a "leak" in the locker room about his quotes to the practice squad. While the quarterback apologized for the issue, it is clear he was unhappy about the information coming out. "Yeah I'm upset," Tannehill said, via the Miami Sun-Sentinel. "Honestly, it's slanderous to report things that, first of all, I didn't say. To put words into my mouth that I didn't say, to degrade my reputation and what I stand for, honestly it's sickening to me. On top of that, just the fact that something from inside the locker room gets out obviously upsets me as well."

Players have been quick to defend the team's struggles following the firing of the head coach. Jarvis Landry told the media that spirits were high following practice on Wednesday. He stressed the need to put the drama behind them and quickly turn things around as the offense has the pieces in place to get it together and win some games.

"I play with my heart," Landry said, via the PalmBeachPost.com. "No matter what. Winning. Down by 30. I'm going to play with heart. I'm going to give it everything I have."

If the Dolphins are going to start winning, getting everyone involved will be key. Kenny Stills made it clear that he wants the ball more coming his way. The receiver had a good game against the Jets while Landry was double-covered, but he is not happy over his lack of targets and remains hopeful things will change.

"Drew [Brees] has been doing it for a long time and he's very methodical with his work," Stills said, via PFT Live, "and I feel like with Ryan, he's still kind of trying to get into his rhythm and the way he wants to do things and build his relationship with us and he's taking control of the offense and becoming the leader of this team."

Tannehill is going to have to start throwing the ball better. The run game for the team continues to be a huge issue. Lamar Miller has simply not looked like the workhorse the team thought they were getting as Jonas Gray could become the favorite following the bye week.
