The Buffalo Bills have injury issues. The team is prepared to continue the season without their star running back and could be without their backup running back and leading receiver for the short-term Week 5 outlook. Rex Ryan is trying to get the bills back into contention, but injuries are making it difficult as depth will be relied upon heavily over the next few weeks.

According to the Buffalo News, LeSean McCoy is out for the foreseeable future after an MRI revealed a new tear in his hamstring. That is paired with the concussion issues that Karlos Williams is dealing with. The loss of McCoy was not looked at as badly with Williams playing like a potential star, but losing the rookie even for a week will hurt the offense.

ESPN's Mike Rodak is reporting that Williams has not been ruled out for Week 5 play as the Bills are keeping him day-to-day. If Williams is healthy, he will start and get the majority of the carries. The rookie has been a star this season filling in for McCoy. General manager Doug Whaley stressed that he has confidence in Williams if he can play, but if not the team has depth to help.

The Bills signed Dan Herron to help with depth, but he is not expected to play a major role in Week 5. Instead, that job will go to Anthony Dixon and Cierre Wood. Dixon is an interesting fantasy option on the waiver wire. He would be a good option to pick up should a ruling come down on Williams in the near future. Whaley told the media that he likes what he sees in both running backs to help out.

"We feel very comfortable with Boobie Dixon and Cierre Wood, that they've been here," Whaley said, via ESPN.com. "Again, Karlos, with that concussion protocol, he may be able to -- you know, day-to-day -- and hopefully he'll be in there at the end of the week."

The Bills offense could look much different as the team prepares to play the Tennessee Titans. The jury is still out as to whether or not Sammy Watkins will be able to play following a calf injury. Ryan told the media that he really did not know what Watkins availability would be. If the receiver is out, Percy Harvin, Robert Woods and Charles Clay will handle the passing game with Tyrod Taylor. They should be enough going against the Titans secondary.
