Dallas Cowboys News and Rumors: Lance Dunbar Injured On Sunday Night Football, Christine Michael Next In Line With Darren McFadden, Joseph Randle

Oct 05, 2015 04:03 PM EDT

During the Sunday night contest between the Dallas Cowboys and the New Orleans Saints, change of pace running back Lance Dunbar suffered a particularly gruesome looking knee injury.

The pain of the injury forced Dunbar to throw the ball in agony near the end zone almost causing a turnover. Dunbar was in so much pain it took several minutes for him to be helped off the field. Dunbar was seen in tears on the sidelines as he was carted back to the locker room.  Dunbar has been a staple of this offense without Tony Romo (broken left clavicle) and Dez Bryant (broken bone in foot).

His production has been something short of amazing and his playmaking ability has constantly kept the Cowboys in games without their star players. Dunbar has accounted for most of the offense without Dallas's star Cowboys.

Now the Cowboys will have to look too Christine Michael and hope that he is ready to contribute quickly as a contest with the Patriots looms on the horizon. The Cowboys will get two of their defensive stars back for this game as Greg Hardy and Rolando McClain should see the field for the first time this season and they're return could not have come at a better time.
