NFL Fantasy Football Recap Week 3: Kansas City Chiefs at Green Bay Packers, Randall Cobb, Aaron Rodgers, Alex Smith, Jamaal Charles, Travis Kelce, Eddie Lacy

Kansas City Chiefs

Alex Smith (Quarterback): Smith had a terrible game under the bright lights of Monday Night Football. He completed 24 out of 40 passes for 240 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. Smith struggled getting the Chiefs down the field on a regular basis settling for check downs.

Jamaal Charles (Running Back): Charles had a productive game in the red zone running for 3 touchdowns however only gained 49 yards on 11 carries and  caught 5 out of his 7 targets for 33 yards. Those 3 touchdowns were huge in relation to Charles's fantasy value, without them he would have had a less than stellar day. Charles will remain the primary weapon for the Chiefs.

Travis Kelce (Tight End): Kelce had a nice game but remained out of the end zone ending up catching 6 out of 10 targets for 80 yards and a 2 point conversion. Kelce was outshined tonight by Jeremy Maclin, but this is largely because the Chiefs were down for most of this game.

Jeremy Maclin (Wide Receiver): Maclin had an incredible game completing 8 of his 11 targets for 141 yards and a touchdown. Maclin should not see this kind of production all the time but could have another great performance as the Chiefs will likely be behind against Cincinnati.

Green Bay Packers

Aaron Rodgers (Quarterback): Rodgers had a stellar game completing 24 of 35 passes for 333 yards and 5 touchdowns. Rodgers could not be stopped and looks in the best form of his life even without Jordy Nelson. Rodgers can connect with any of these Green Bay receivers and is looking like the best quarterback in the NFL right now.

Randall Cobb/Davante Adams/James Jones (Wide Receivers): Cobb had an incredible day from the field. Cobb finished the game catching 7 out of 12 targets for 91 yards and 3 touchdowns. Cobb has definitely taken on the role of the number one wide receiver and it shows as he abused the Kansas City secondary all game long. James Jones had a similar night catching 7 out of 8 targets for 139 yards and a touchdown. Jones will continue to have a great year as long as Rodgers is throwing to him. Adams reinjured his ankle on his 3 target of the game. Adams will be a stretch to come back before his week for matchup with the 49ers.

Eddie Lacy/James Starks (Running Back): Lacy was injured coming into this game however showed no ill effects of his lower ankle sprain he suffered in week 2. Lacy finished the game with 10 carries for 46 yards and caught all 3 of his targets for 41 yards. Lacy should be back to top form in week 4. Lacy's backup James Starks had 17 carries on the day but only had 32 yards and 1 catch for 19 yards. If Lacy is out Starks value rises dramatically however if they are splitting reps he is not worth an addition.
