The Buffalo Bills want LeSean McCoy to be their workhorse running back, but so far injuries are preventing that from happening. McCoy sat out the preseason with a hamstring injury that simply will not go away. ESPN's Josina Anderson originally reported the hamstring had a tear in it, but McCoy continued to play until it was clear he was not the same running back in Week 3. Now he is expected to miss some time on the field.

According to NFL Media's Rand Getlin of NFL.com, McCoy is expected to sit out Week 4 for the Buffalo Bills. This comes after McCoy struggled in Week 3 and spent most of the game on the stationary bike. McCoy acknowledged that he simply could not get lose before the game and it hampered his play too much. Rest appears to be the best thing as the Bills aim to be cautious so the injury does not linger any more.

"We got to look at everything," McCoy said, via ESPN.com. "We'll figure it out. I'm not sure right now. I don't have a definite answer. We'll see what's going on. That's part of football. Just got to find a medium between being tough -- and laying it on the line for your teammates -- and being smart."

The cautious approach towards McCoy speaks to the confidence the team has in Karlos Williams. The rookie has been thriving in his first three games with 186 yards off 24 carries for three touchdowns. He will be the primary running back and the Bills have to hope he works out because the reserves are thin with just Anthony Dixon and Jerome Felton on the roster.

The Bills could be missing a lot of playmakers in Week 4 as Sammy Watkins also has a question mark next to his name. The wide receiver suffered a calf strain during Week 3 and is now listed as day-to-day following the injury. According to FOX Sports, head coach Rex Ryan told the media that there was possibility that Watkins say out the game against the Giants which would be a big blow to the offense. Watkins only has 99 yards through the same with one touchdown, but he always draws the top defenders on the defense. Without Watkins, Robert Woods and Percy Harvin will be forced to step up for Taylor along with tight end Charles Clay. That is still a good offense, but with the New York Giants improving, this could be a tough win for the team.
