Denver Broncos Rumors: Demaryius Thomas Helps Peyton Manning Improve, CJ Anderson, Ronnie Hillman Battle to Start as Emmanuel Sanders, Virgil Green Improve

The Denver Broncos might be 2-0 on the season, but the team is still facing plenty of criticism about their future in 2015. Critics continue to question the health and ability of Peyton Manning while saying the new offensive system is not working for any of players. The Broncos are looking to silence the critics in Week 3 as Demaryius Thomas prepares for a big game and the run game aims to improve.

Manning might not look like the quarterback he was a few years ago, but his wide receivers are doing everything possible to make sure the veteran gets his wins. After getting a big contract in the offseason, Thomas is looking to be Mannings' safety blanket as he wants to break Calvin Johnson's single-season yardage record. If that is going to happen, Thomas better start improving and getting Manning to toss the ball a little deeper as he is averaging just 88 yards a game.

"Right now, it's mainly trying to get better at what I do in this new offense," Thomas said, via the Augusta Chronicle. "That's going out and doing whatever I have to do to help this team win. If that's making a play at the end of the game and that's my only play, that's what I have to do."

Getting used to the new offense has been a task for everyone involved after the coaching changes. According to head coach Gary Kubiak, the team intends on sticking with the plan moving forward. People were calling for the head coach to admit more to the scheme that Manning is used to, but he has no interest in that stressing that the offense will start with the run game and move from there.

The biggest issue is that right now the Broncos have one of the worst rushing attacks in the league. CJ Anderson is struggling right now through two games while Ronnie Hillman might get the start in Week 3. The Broncos would like a workhorse to emerge from the two players as Anderson shoulders the blame for the slow start to the year.

"We are going to figure it out," Anderson said, via the Denver Post. "I won't put anything on those big boys (on the offensive line). It's on me. Even if things are not looking clean, I believe I can make plays and that's just something I haven't done the last two weeks."

As Anderson and Hillman battle it out, the run game will help take pressure off Manning moving forward. The quarterback laughs off the idea that there is concern in the locker room. The Broncos are 2-0 for a reason and the quarterback is urging the media to relax a bit.

"I think there's always going to be an adjustment, every season is going to bring an adjustment," Manning said, via NFL.com. "I think no matter what's occurred in the offseason you're going to have new players in new positions and you're always going to be trying new things, it's certainly going to be an adjustment, I think that's fair. ... As long as we continue to work and improve, that's what we said all along, that's what we said we were going to do and that's what we will do."
