WNBA Playoffs Results and Schedule: NY Liberty, Indiana Fever, Phoenix Mercury, Minnesota Lynx Advance To Conference Finals

The WNBA playoffs is heading into the conference finals and in the east it will be the New York Liberty against the Indiana Fever, while the west has the Phoenix Mercury taking on the Minnesota Lynx in the west.

The Liberty advanced to the eastern conference finals after winning against the Washington Mystics in Game 3 on Tuesday night. Tina Charles had 22 points for the Liberty and they advanced to face the Fever after winning 79-74 in the game. The Liberty will not have much time to prepare for the Fever, as Game 1 of the east finals will be on Wednesday in New York at Madison Square Garden.

The Lynx won against the LA Sparks on Tuesday night to advance to the conference finals against the Mercury. Maya Moore had 20 points and eight rebounds for the Lynx and the team took down Candace Parker and the Sparks. Parker did her part with 28 points and 13 rebounds and now the Sparks will have to watch Phoenix and Minnesota duke it out to see who goes to the finals.

The Pope's visit is forcing the game to happen right away and the two teams will start the series on Wednesday to see who ends up in the finals. Sugar Rodgers had 20 points in the game and now the top seeded team in the east will be in the finals. The Fever advanced over the Chicago Sky to make it into the finals and they now have an opponent with Charles leading the Liberty through.

Elena Delle Donne had 40 points for the Sky against the Fever in the final matchup, but even that wasn't enough to get the team past Indiana. The Fever got 27 points from Tamika Catchings and that helped Indiana advance and now they will have to take down the top seeded liberty to get to the finals. The first game of the east finals is on Wednesday and Game 2 will be on Sunday, September 27 with TV coverage on ESPN. Game 3 is on schedule for September 29.
