Fantasy Previews Week 1 of the NFL Regular Season: Carolina Panthers at Jacksonville Jaguars

Carolina Panthers

Devin Funchess (Wide Receiver): Funchess is the biggest wide receiver the Panthers have and the best chance of replicating Benjamin's production. Even if Funchess does not start they are going to have to give their second round pick some playing time. When Funchess hits the field he will make a case to be the lead wide receiver in this offense.

Jonathan Stewart (Running Back): Stewart has been incredibly injury prone his entire career so expect all eyes to be on the medical staff when he carries the ball. Jacksonville had a hard time with the run last year so if Stewart cannot get it done against the Jags he will have a hard time getting it done against anyone else.

Greg Olsen (Tight End): Olsen is looking to have a big season as he should get the most targets in the Panthers offense. Olsen should be Newton's third down target and primary red zone option.

Cam Newton (Quarterback): Newton should not have to hard of a time with this Jaguars defense however if he does that says a lot of about this team's offensive potency. Newton would be a solid start if Benjamin was not injured however now he is a mediocre one at best.

Jacksonville Jaguars

TJ Yeldon (Running Back): Yeldon is going to need a big game to keep his starting spot and the Panthers defense is a bad place to start. If Yeldon can be a playmaker behind a bad offensive line this is the game that he proves it.

Allen Robinson (Wide Receiver): Robinson should be the main target of Blake Bortles now that Julius Thomas is out. Robinson should see some significant targets which makes him a solid start.

Marcedes Lewis/Clay Harbor (Tight End): The tight end position for the Jaguars could probably be streamed for the next few weeks as it will get a sporadic flurry of targets. Without Thomas Lewis is the likely starter with limited upside.
