Fantasy Football Team Outlook: New York Giants, Victor Cruz, Eli Manning, Odell Beckham

Sep 08, 2015 01:27 PM EDT

Victor Cruz (Wide Receiver): Cruz is likely to miss week 1 that's to a calf injury that has hindered him all preseason long. After coming back from a torn patellar tendon Cruz was looking to recapture the speed that made him one of the Giants best wide receivers. That speed is still there but it seems like his durability will be question all season long.

Eli Manning (Quarterback): Manning statistically had one of his best seasons of all time in 2014 however that did not translate to on the field success. As a fantasy quarterback Manning will have a very hard time scoring a ton of points with a patchwork offensive line. The lack of any defensive playmakers and lack of depth at safety will also keep Manning and the anemic Giants offense on the field for much longer than they would like.

Odell Beckham JR (Wide Receiver): Beckham had an amazing rookie year, and it will go down as one of the best in history. His sophomore year has been hampered by nagging injuries in preseason. He also is the Giants top target and will get blanketed in coverage. Keep in mind that Beckham is the 2015 Madden cover boy and that curse is as real as can be, remember Peyton Hillis, need I say more. ODB will be gone by the end of the 2nd round.

Rashad Jennings/Andre Williams/Shane Vereen (Running Back): The Giants backfield is a mess like most RBBC groups except this one does not have an offensive line to run behind, stay away at all costs.
