The NY Giants and New England Patriots are playing live on the NFL preseason schedule on Thursday for Week 4 and the final exhibition game and the matchup is from Gillette Stadium and comes after Tom Brady had his suspension knocked down and the game starts up at 7:30 pm ET and is a now annual battle of these former Super Bowl foes.
The Giants are coming into the final preseason game looking to lock things down heading into the season, as they missed the playoffs last year. Victor Cruz is dealing with a calf injury and could miss Week 1, but players like Odell Beckham and Rueben Randle are expected to be ready for the start of the season. The team won against the Jaguars after losing to the Bengals and they also lost to the Jets in the preseason.
The team now has the annual preseason game with the Patriots and this is always a fun way to play after the teams met in the Super Bowl. The teams will play against each other in the regular season and perhaps that could mean some more fireworks in the playoffs if things go as they usually do when that happens. Eli Manning is looking to have another strong season in year two of the Ben McAdoo offense.
The Patriots are coming into the game thrilled to have Brady back after his suspension was overturned and knocked down and now he will be ready to play against the Steelers. The Pats want Brady in there and the team was hoping this was the outcome they would get after the appeal. Brady is ready to go and the team comes in after winning against the Saints and Panthers following a loss to the Packers in the preseason. The Pats open the season with the Steelers and now Brady will be in for games against the Bills, Jaguars and Cowboys and then the team has to go on the road to play the Colts.
That should be an amazing game to see after all that has happened and that will be a rematch of the deflate game with the AFC championship game. The Pats are looking to get back to the Super Bowl and after those games the team has the Jets, Dolphins, Redskins and Giants and that game is on the road. This matchup is in NE and then the teams will swap for that regular season game. The last time the teams played there the Pats went undefeated and the seeds were sown for a Super Bowl matchup.
