The NY Knicks may look at a Jose Calderon trade this season and names like Jamal Crawford, Ricky Rubio and Brandon Jennings could be potential targets for Phil Jackson if he makes a deal. The Knicks have added Jerian Grant to the mix at point guard with Langston Galloway and Carmelo Anthony said this summer he likes the potential of the young players.

The Knicks roster is mostly set heading into training camp, but reports have the team interested in one more move. According to Frank Isola at the NY Daily News, the Knicks have "expressed interest" in a deal for Jamal Crawford with the Clippers. Sources said that while no deal was close to happening, the Knicks have looked into Crawford and may want to add him as a bench scoring option.

The Knicks reportedly would be open to trading Jose Calderon in a deal and the Clippers could have interest in the point guard for depth behind Chris Paul. Ian Begley at ESPN New York writes that no deal is "imminent" for Calderon, but it's an option that could be picked up later in the season. The Clippers have Austin Rivers and Pablo Prigioni as backups behind Paul and adding Calderon could give the team a bit more depth at that position.

Other reports have the Knicks interested in Ricky Rubio as well. According to Fox Sports, Gigantes is reporting that the Knicks want an "upgrade" at the point guard position with Langston Galloway and Jerian Grant still inexperienced and Rubio could be a target. The site writes that while no deal is currently close to happening, the Knicks look at Rubio as an "interesting option" and depending on how the season goes, the sides could talk a deal.

According to Pro Basketball Talk, Calderon implied on social media that the Clippers and Timberwolves would be interested in acquiring him. The Wolves are not pushing a deal with Rubio, but a move could make sense for the team. Rubio has always had potential, but he has dealt with injuries and has not been able to be consistent. With Rubio signed until 2019, the Wolves could trade him for Calderon and clear cap space sooner, as Calderon has another year left on his deal after this.

The Knicks made some solid additions apart from the bigger names like Lopez and Afflalo, as the team also added Kevin Seraphin and Sasha Vujacic on contracts. While those players are not All-Star talents, they are solid veterans and could provide some good depth this season. Seraphin was productive in a limited role with the Wizards and he signed with the Knicks after having interest from a number of other teams.

Vujacic has not played in the NBA for a while, but he is a skilled three-point shooter and that likely will be his specialty off the bench. Vujacic has a strong relationship with Phil Jackson and Derek Fisher from his time in Los Angeles with the Lakers. The team has solid depth and while they may not be a title contender, the Knicks could sneak into the playoffs this season in the east.
