Top Fantasy WRs Analysis For 2015 Season: Antonio Brown, Julio Jones, Dez Bryant Best Players with Odell Beckham, Demaryius Thomas

Sep 01, 2015 01:38 PM EDT

Antonio Brown (Pittsburgh Steelers):

Antonio Brown is the safest player to draft period. He always scores points and there is never any let down. Brown will be joined by Sammie Coates and Markus Wheaton to begin the season since Martavis Bryant is suspended, this means a lot more targets for Brown. Brown should be the home run receiver for the entire year so expect him to have a lot of deep touchdowns. The one drawback is that the Steelers have the hardest schedule of any NFL team and Brown will be seeing the best coverage the NFL has to offer.

Dez Bryant (Dallas Cowboys):

Dez Bryant just might be the best wide receiver this season. He finished 2014 with the most touchdowns out of any wide receiver in the NFL. He is the Marshawn Lynch of wide receivers currently operating with one of the best fantasy football quarterbacks of all time Tony Romo. Romo will be protected by the best offensive line in football so this should leave ample opportunities to connect with Bryant. Bryant is the second wide receiver off the board in most drafts and will likely have more than 12 touchdowns in 2015.

Julio Jones (Atlanta Falcons):

Julio Jones is the Falcons best receiver hands down. The Falcons just signed Jones to a huge extension guaranteeing his peace of mind for the upcoming season. Jones has some injury history but is the third wide receiver to target in fantasy football drafts. The Falcons offensive line needs some work but Matt Ryan should be able to find one of the best receivers in the league with regularity. The Falcons also don't have a reliable tight end and are witnessing the decline of Roddy White. White had elbow surgery this offseason and will be lukewarm all season long, Jones should see a necessary uptick in targets.

Demaryius Thomas (Denver Broncos):

Thomas could be the most undervalued wide receiver from last season. He won many fantasy owners a championship however an offensive shakeup in Denver has fantasy players concerned. Gary Kubiak the Broncos new head coach will look to establish the run in the beginning of every possession, so Peyton Manning will not be airing it out like he did a few seasons ago. The offense will be largely predicated on C.J. Anderson and the Broncos running backs, which will open up some deep, play action routes for Thomas. This also might limit Thomas's targets and alter Peyton Manning's rhythm.

Odell Beckham Jr (New York Giants):

Odell Beckham is one of the top wide receivers I would pass on unless I absolutely had to draft him. The reason being is that the Giants are not an offensively sound team. Between all of the offseason injuries and offensive line concerns the Giants could be in for a rude awakening in 2015. This team has lost most of their defensive starters which will keep their offensive on the field for longer. The offensive line is suffering from a ton of injuries some of which won't be healed until much later in the year. This will force Eli Manning to underthrow balls something that we have already seen in preseason, without protection Manning is an interception waiting to happen. Plus the Madden curse is real, why do you think Calvin Johnson had such an out of character season? A better option for the fifth wide receiver to draft would be Randall Cobb or Alshon Jeffery, their targets will about the same as Beckham's and their offensive lines are better.
