The Green Bay Packers saw Randall Cobb suffer an injury on Saturday and he could miss Week 1 with a joint sprain and that could leave Davante Adams, Ty Montgomery, Jeff Janis and Myles White as the main starters and wideouts for Aaron Rodgers after Jordy Nelson was lost for the season with an ACL tear.

The Packers are coming into the season expecting to be one of the contenders in the NFC and they are already down one of their most productive players. Nelson tore his ACL and will miss the season and now Cobb could miss time as well. According to NFL.com, Ian Rapoport reports that Cobb is dealing with a "minor AC joint sprain" after suffering an injury against the Eagles in the preseason.

Pro Football Talk reports that while Cobb has not been ruled out yet, he could miss Week 1 against the Chicago Bears with the injury. The website points out that DeSean Jackson is dealing with a similar injury and he has been out for the preseason after suffering it in training camp. Cobb has dealt with injuries in the past and now he could be in danger of missing the start of the season for the Packers.

The Packers are already down Nelson and that was expected to put some major pressure on Cobb this season. Davante Adams appeared poised for a breakout season after the Nelson injury and now he could find himself as the number one receiver for the Packers. The team also has Jeff Janis and Ty Montgomery as options and it comes as the team was likely planning for Montgomery to play more on special teams to start his career, but that likely will change as well.

The Packers originally thought Cobb's injury could be more serious, but instead he only suffered a spring in his shoulder. Rapoport reports that there is "no word" on Cobb being available or not for Week 1 and the news on his injury will be updated once that happens. Cobb missed time in 2013 with a knee injury and he came back and played in all 16 games last year while making 91 catches for 1287 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Adams comes in after having a strong rookie season with 38 catches for 446 yards and now he will have to step up even more. Adams had over 20 touchdowns in his last year at Fresno State and he had 38 scores in two seasons and has shown he can be an explosive player. Janis has had an inconsistent summer, but he now will be thrust into a more active role and he comes in after making two catches for 16 yards in three games last season.
