Quarterback Tony Romo #9 of the Dallas Cowboys hands off the ball to running back Darren McFadden #20 against the San Francisco 49ers in the first quarter of a preseason game on August 23, 2015 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. The 49ers won 23-6. "

The Dallas Cowboys and the Minnesota Vikings are playing on the Week 3 preseason schedule at AT&T Stadium in Arlington and the matchup starts at 7 pm ET and has Tony Romo, Dez Bryant, Joseph Randle, Jerick McKinnon and Teddy Bridgewater getting ready to start the 2015 season.

The Cowboys are coming into the season with high expectations after making it into the playoffs last year, but they lost in tough fashion to the Packers. Dez Bryant had the non-catch seen around the world and now he comes back with a major contract and is ready to have another monster season. Romo's window could be closing and the Cowboys are looking to make a deep run and they have the Eagles nipping at their heels after making moves this offseason.

The Cowboys let DeMarco Murray walk in free agency and they are planning to try and replace him with Joseph Randle and Darren McFadden. The team thinks that offensive line is good enough to make up for the loss of Murray and that should give the offense a solid balance with Romo and Bryant in the passing game. Randle likely will be the starter, but the two players could end up with similar numbers if McFadden can stay healthy.

That is a big if with his past, but McFadden is coming off of the first full season staying healthy in his career. McFadden and Randle are on the roster ahead of Lance Dunbar and there is a chance the team keeps Gus Johnson as some insurance in case and injury happens. The Cowboys open the season with the Giants and it comes after the team has played (and lost) against the Chargers and 49ers in the preseason. The team finishes off the preseason with the Vikings and the Texans before playing the Giants and the Eagles to start the season.

The Cowboys schedule is tough early, as the team has two divisional games and then play against the Falcons, Saints and Patriots after that. Things don't get easier with a road game against the Giants and home matchups against the Eagles and Seahawks before four of five on the road. The team has a Florida special with the Dolphins and Bucs before coming home against the Panthers and then the team has the Redskins and Packers on the road.

The Cowboys back stretch is tough as well with the Packers, Jets, Bill and Redskins at the end of the season. The team will be looking to get some revenge after losing to the Packers in the playoffs last year and that game could be huge in the NFC playoffs picture.
