Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee (2nd L) intercepts the pass intended for Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back D.J. Ware (2nd R) as linebacker Victor Butler (L) and corner back Mike Jenkins are near first half of their NFL football game in Arlington, Texas September 23."

Sean Lee has suffered some career altering injuries in his time with the Cowboys. Lee has dealt with ACL tears since college and played the first 4 years of his career with a left ACL that was 80 percent torn.

Lee is now 100% healthy and that is a good thing for the Cowboys but they now have to make sure he stays healthy. One way of doing this was moving Lee to weak side linebacker. He is less likely to be battered on that side and still has the vision and awareness to make plays.

They are just easing Lee back into 11 on 11 drills and mostly had him doing individual work before that. Now at 29 it is important that Lee make the most of this opportunity he has with the Cowboys, also another injury might be the end of his career.

The Cowboys are always better in coverage when Lee is on the field because his awareness is off the charts however we will see if Lee can be just as effective as a weak side linebacker. Anthony Hitchens has taken over Lee's old position and the suspended Rolando McClain is set to take the middle linebacker spot when he returns; until then Jasper Brinkley will be the man in the middle.
