The Seattle Sounders and Vancouver Whitecaps are playing live on the MLS schedule on Saturday night and the Cascadia Cup matchup is live from CenturyLink Field and it comes after the Sounders won the last game between these teams in Major League soccer play and the game starts at 10 pm ET/7 pm PT as Clint Dempsey gets into action.

The Sounders come into the game after losing three straight and the team has not scored in those matches while allowing one goal each time out. The team is looking to break out of that funk after winning against the Whitecaps back in May and that was at BC Place and saw Seattle win the match 2-0. Dempsey and company will be looking to get things going and they have the chance to get back on track on Saturday night.

The Sounders have 32 points on the season and they are fifth in the west behind Sporting Kansas City, the LA Galaxy, Vancouver Whitecaps and FC Dallas. The Sounders are there in the standings with the Timbers and they are close to the Whitecaps, who have 36 points on the season. The western conference is wide open, as Dallas has 38 points and both the Whitecaps and FC Dallas have 11 wins on the season right now.

The Whitecaps come into the match after a win against the San Jose Earthquakes and that ended a three game run that saw the team go winless. Chad Barrett scored twice in the first game for Seattle and the win at BC Place was the first time that the Sounders won at Portland. The last time the two teams played the Sounders scored after just five minutes and they will look at setting the tone early once again.

Dempsey said that he is "ready to go" for the Sounders against Vancouver and it comes after national team play and the MLS All-Star game. The team may use him in limited action to start things off, but Dempsey said that he is open to whatever the team does. Dempsey and the Sounders have had a tough run, as they are just 1-6-0 over the last stretch of games.
