Fantasy Football RBs To Avoid 2015: Carlos Hyde, DeMarco Murray, Jonathan Stewart, LeGarrette Blount, Lamar Miller

Carolina Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart (28) is tackled by Chicago Bears outside linebacker Lance Briggs (55) during the first half of their NFL football game at Soldier Field in Chicago, October 28, 2012. The Bears won the game 23-22."

DeMarco Murray (Philadelphia Eagles): Murray went on a tear and fantasy owners who passed on him regretted it. This year is a little bit different, Murray has shown the fantasy gods his hand and they now will take his value away. Murray carried the ball over 470 times last season really giving his legs a pounding that any soon to be free agent running back would be dreading. Not Murray though, the Eagles coughed up the cash and are starting Murray. This wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for Darren Sproles and Ryan Matthews waiting to take carries from the rushing champion. So now not only Murray has to overcome the running backs carry curse, he has to do it with two other talented running backs nipping at his heals. Prediction: Murray doesn't even come close to the same production as he did last year.

Carlos Hyde (San Francisco 49ers): This one is not as dire but still it looks like a messy situation. Carlos Hyde is in a backfield with Reggie Bush and Kendall Hunter so the committee is not as strong. But the big question is can the 49ers offensive line keep Hyde and Bush healthy? Bush will probably get injured or dinged up which is not surprising. The 49ers need Hyde on the other hand for all workhorse duties and with a new head coach, I don't know if they are going to work the kinks out of the system in just one offseason.

Jonathan Stewart (Carolina Panthers): Jonathan Stewart has never truly taken over the Panther's backfield, but he is just as injury prone as DeAngelo Hall was. Stewart will end up being replaced by one of the other running backs on the roster just like Carolina has been doing for the past 3 seasons.

Lamar Miller (Miami Dolphins): The Dolphins have a pretty bad offensive line so it is only a matter of time before a running back gets injured. Miller is the starter out of the gate, but look for LaMichael James or Jay Ajayi to step in once Miller gets dinged up.

Rashad Jennings (New York Giants): Jennings has been injured at some point in the last 4 out of 5 seasons, those are not good odds. Jennings will also face off against Shane Vereen and Andre Williams over who leads the backfield.

Joique Bell (Detroit Lions): Bell is already injured this offseason and will most likely be replaced by Nebraska speedster Ameer Abdullah. Bell can score points but he is too fragile to be a solid building block for a fantasy football team.

LeGarrette Blount (New England Patriots): Predicting how Belichick will use running backs is an exercise in futility. Blount may get the most work but goal line situations are a toss-up, also the Patriots are not even consistent on who they pass the ball too so there's no point in assuming they would have a consistent rushing game.
