The New York Knicks are looking for some free agent depth and names like Glen Davis, Carlos Boozer, Jeff Withey, Reggie Evans, Carlos Boozer, Greg Stiemsma, Kevin Seraphin and JaVale McGee are potential options along with a Chris Andersen trade to give some backup for Robin Lopez and Kristaps Porzingis and this comes as the Knicks have Ricky Ledo, Darion Atkins, Wesley Saunders, Thanasis Antetokounmpo and Alex Kirk as potential roster options.

The Knicks roster is not filled out yet and reports have Phil Jackson looking for some more depth in the front court. Cole Aldrich signed with the Clippers and now the team needs a replacement at backup center behind Robin Lopez. The team has some depth at forward/center with Kristaps Porzingis, Derrick Williams, Robin Lopez, Kyle O'Quinn and Lou Amundson, but the team could use some more options. According to Sheridan Hoops, Kevin Seraphin is a target for the Knicks while players like Reggie Evans, Carlos Boozer and McGee remain on the free agent market.

According to John Schmeelk at CBS New York, the Knicks want another center behind Lopez and they still have room for a veteran on the roster, as the team has a $2.8 million exception. The Knicks are likely putting Langston Galloway on the roster with his partially guaranteed contract and Ledo is another candidate after he played well in the Summer League. The team could use the exception on Davis or McGee, while Schmeelk writes that Withey could be a solid fit, as he is not expected to return to the Pelicans.

The Knicks may look at Seraphin and this comes as Michael Scotto reports that the Los Angeles Lakers and Wizards have also shown interest in Seraphin. The Knicks have added Darion Atkins and Wesley Saunders on partially guaranteed deals heading into camp and there is a chance one of those players could make the roster. Saunders is a guard and Atkins is a forward and that could give Atkins the advantage when it comes to trying to make the team. Both players could be bound for the D-League if they don't make the roster.

Seraphin would be a solid reserve and he comes in at just 25 years old and a high upside. Seraphin averaged 6.6 points and 3.6 rebounds per game last season and that was in line with his career averages. Evans is another option and Scotto reports that the Kings are interested in keeping Evans, as he has a good relationship with DeMarcus Cousins. The Knicks are likely adding a center/forward heading into camp and the Lakers also have an exception to use on a free agent.

The Knicks have room on the roster for a couple of players, but they really only have one spot for a veteran, as the team is reportedly considering adding Summer League players to the roster. Ian Begley at ESPN New York reports that the Knicks are considering roster spots for the season for Ricky Ledo, Thanasis Antetokounmpo and Alex Kirk. The Knicks still have time to make a decision about the roster and about what Summer League players will get chances in camp.
