Junior Galette's release from the Saints shows that anything can happen at any time in the NFL. Galette however is now a pretty hot commodity when you consider all of the teams that need a good outside linebacker. The NFL is currently reviewing several incidents involving Galette but will a team bite on him before the situation is resolved?

1.       Atlanta Falcons: The Falcons would be the perfect spot for the embattled linebacker; he would immediately make an impact and a get a shot to knock off the Saints in the division. One reason why this may not happen is Vic Beasley and the defensive rookies of the Falcons. The Falcons want to win but they are not one player away from a championship so adding Galette could seem like poisoning the groundwater so to speak. A player like Galette is not brought in because he's a good locker room guy and with that defense being rebuilt from the ground up I expect the Falcons to pass. They also have to sign a guy called Julio Jones to a long term deal.

2.       Pittsburgh Steelers: The Steelers might possibly be one player away from the Super Bowl and Mike Tomlin could handle a trouble maker when necessary. The Steelers would be the perfect place for Galette and would give a new edge to a defense that has lost its way in recent seasons. Adding Galette to replace Jason Worilds would be a pretty smart move considering the competition in their division.

3.       Baltimore Ravens: The Ravens are all about getting after the quarterback and Galette could make for a perfect fit. Galette would push the Ravens into new territory defensively as that type of pressure is long gone from the Ravens line. Galette is not Ray Lewis but he certainly can be productive plus Terrell Suggs is just getting older.

4.       Dallas Cowboys: This one is a long shot, the Cowboys like to take talented, troubled players but they have already taken a few of them this off season. Galette is a known locker room problem even though he was voted as a captain by some of his peers. I expect that with enough problem players on the roster they are not going to take the chance bringing in Galette, also if there was a timetable on his suspension or more accurately when he will be suspended they might look harder at him. But who knows Cowboy culture does do wonders for rehabilitation.

5.     Carolina Panthers: This is the least likely team to grab Galette but they do need a pass rusher. Luke Kuechly is more of a cover guy and a run stopper plus he could always use some help. The Panthers released Greg Hardy for his issues so I doubt Ron Rivera would choose to sign Galette but maybe they will see an opportunity to tip the scales of the NFC South in the Panthers favor.

For any team that attempts to sign Galette will have the hurdle of not knowing just how long he will be suspended. The video on Galette is some strong evidence to a suspension but it is not exactly the Ray Rice elevator video. Galette will play again the question is just when.
