The Dallas Mavericks continue be linked to several roster moves with free agency now in full swing. With the Western Conference heating up, the Mavericks are still lacking pieces to keep them competitive. Missing out on DeAndre Jordan was a huge hit to the overall plan of the team and now they are forced into eyeing other players to simply help with depth. As a result, could Dallas be eyeing  a reunion with a familiar face.

The Houston Rockets made a big improvement to their roster on Sunday by acquiring Ty Lawson in a trade with the Denver Nuggets. After already signing Patrick Beverley to a new contract, the Rockets gave up Kostas Papanikolaou and Pablo Prigioni in the deal to get Lawson who was just arrested for his second DUI of the year. According to Marc Stein of ESPN.com, the deal for Lawson was a no-brainer considering his relationship with other players on the team.

The addition of Lawson could hurt Jason Terry's chances at re-signing with Houston considering the crowd in the roster group. According to the Houston Chronicle, Terry was in talks to re-sign with the Rockets before the team acquired Lawson and now that deal might not be as likely. Could the Dallas Mavericks now come calling for Terry to add to the Deron Williams, JJ Barea rotation?

Tim MacMahon of ESPN Dallas reported that Terry has been an option for the Mavericks for the past few weeks especially before they acquired Williams. Terry would be a cheap contract to take on and help the Mavericks coming off the bench. It is no secret the amount of success Terry had in Dallas as a member of the championship team and would favor a return to the Mavericks if it is on the table.

The Mavericks still need size on the roster after losing out on Jordan. The Dallas Morning News has linked the Mavericks to several players, but the team has yet to make any move. JaVale McGee, Carlos Boozer and Kendrick Perkins have all been listed as options to help after Zaza Pachulia was traded for. Dallas is looking for a player they can simply place under the basket to assist in rebounding and defense. Any of those players would be quality options while still being affordable.
