Saturday's matchup between the New York Mets and the Los Angeles Dodgers will feature two of the best pitchers in baseball as both Zach Greinke and Matt Harvey face off for National League supremacy. Greinke is working on a scoreless innings streak while Harvey has put together three of the top starts of his career. The Mets got the best of the Dodgers on Friday, but can Greinke dominate over Harvey?

Greinke takes the mound on the verge of history. The pitcher is fresh off a start where he limited Miami to just four hits while he has yet to allow a run in 20 2/3 innings of play. That is his third-longest streak of his career while being just 3 and 1/2 innings off the best. He is currently 2-0 with a 1.89 ERA in his last three starts against the Mets and hopes to keep that streak alive.

"Every outing he's really, really good," manager Don Mattingly told MLB's official website. "Probably the reason Clayton's (season) ended up being totally historic is that everything we needed to happen did last year. If we needed three runs, we got three. If we needed two, we got two. So Zack just hasn't had that same thing, but he's pitched really, really well every time out."

Harvery is no slouch either being 7-5 with a 2.99 ERA on the season. He has only allowed one earned run through 19 2/3 innings of play which came against Cincinnati in his last season where he gave up just  four hits. He has not mirrored that success against the Dodgers as he is just 0-1 with a 5.25 ERA in his last two starts.

Meanwhile, the Mets broke a three-game losing streak with the win over the Dodgers. The pitching staff has been picking things up with a 1.38 ERA while the batting has been struggling with just three runs in the last four games. Michael Cuddyer is back on the mound after coming back from a knee injury. He could help pick up the last as the team is averaging just 1.7 runs per game.
