The New York Jets find themselves thin at the wide receiver position now that Santonio Holmes will be out for the season. Now everybody is wondering who the Jets will go after. Are Terrell Owens or Plaxico Burress legit options?

According to ESPN's First Take, 55 percent of fans believe Owens would be the adequate addition to the Jets' roster, despite Burress being a target in the end zone for Gang Green last season.

Honestly? There is no salvage to the New York Jets season at this point. They did not have a chance with Santonio Holmes in their lineup, so they definitely do not have a chance to win without him in their lineup.

The Jets have a mediocre offense beginning with the running back position. Mark Sanchez is looking like a horrible quarterback despite producing the same numbers throughout his career. Fans want Tim Tebow, but what will he fix? The Jets' offense has yet to bring out Tebow's strengths with their play calls.

In case fans want to compare the stats of these two former wide receivers here we go.

Owens has played 219 games for five franchises in 15 seasons. He has 153 career touchdowns, 1,078 receptions and 15,934 yards and will be turning 39 at the end of the season.

Burress has played 10 years in the league for three teams. In 144 career games he has 63 touchdowns, 550 receptions and 8,457 yards.

The Jets signed Jason Hill, but it is clear that Stephen A. Smith believes the Jets are cheating out their fans with this acquisition.

Who is Jason Hill?

He was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in 2007. Hill was the third round pick, 76th overall.

Hill has been a member of the 49ers from 2007-2010. He was then traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Hill has 76 receptions, 1,028 yards and eight touchdowns in his career.

It is clear that with this move the Jets have no interests in adding these controversial figures to their roster.
