The losing streak continues for the Boston Red Sox as it reaches seven games. The Red Sox are currently the bottom feeders in a very competitive American League East and roster changes could be coming for the team if they cannot manage to start getting some wins. They were hoping to shift momentum in the series against the Atlanta Braves, but the National League team took the Monday win as they face off again on Tuesday.

According to MLB.com, if the Red Sox do not start getting wins, manager John Farrell could be the next one fired. The San Diego Padres made a similar move on Monday and sources believe Farrell is next. If Boston is going to save their manager, the team has got to start winning and it starts with pitching. The Red Sox have a combined ERA of 6.52 which fell apart once again against batters like AJ Pierzynski and Jace Peterson.

Wade Miley takes the mound in hopes of turning things around. The starter is 5-6 with a 5.07 ERA and is coming off two rough games of play. In his last start against the Baltimore Orioles, he gave up five runs and nine hits in just four innings. His night ended early. Miley needs a bounce-back start as he prepares to face the Braves' batting lineup that has shown some life recently. He does have a three-game home win streak with a 2.01 ERA at Fenway Park.

The Red Sox batting lineup has a chance to make a difference as the Braves will put Julio Teheran on the mound who has been struggling recently. In his last four starts, the pitcher is 0-1 with 6.57 ERA. Teheran's issue has been late innings. In a start against Pittsburgh, he gave up two key runs in eighth while he gave up three runs in the eighth inning against San Diego. Opponents have a .259 batting average in the first six innings while going 9 for 19 after that. To make matters worse he has been struggling on the road. The pitcher is 1-2 with a 6.94 ERA away from home while being 0-2 with a 5.21 ERA on the road against American League teams.
