Shortstop Troy Tulowitzki #2 of the Colorado Rockies turns a double play on Cesar Hernandez #16 of the Philadelphia Phillies for the final outs of the game at Coors Field on May 21, 2015 in Denver, Colorado. The Rockies defeated the Phillies 7-3."

The Colorado Rockies are not currently shopping a Troy Tulowitzki trade and the shortstop said to the media that he is not demanding to be traded and moving forward if a trade does happen with Tulowitzki or players like Carlos Gonzalez, Charlie Blackmon or Nolan Arenado, the San Diego Padres, Washington Nationals and NY Mets could be interested.

Tulowitzki was mentioned in trade rumors last year, but he was dealing with an injury and no deal came close to happening at the time. According to Hardball Talk, following media reports that Tulowitzki would meet with his agent to decide about his future in Colorado, the shortstop has decided to "not demand" a trade from the team "at this time." Tulowitzki may end up in trade rumors at the deadline if the Rockies stay in last place, but for now he will be in Colorado.

Thomas Harding on Twitter reported that Tulowitzki said that he will try and "play better" to get the team back to winning and that he will try and stay on the field after dealing with an injury last season. Tulowitzki has not been able to remain healthy for a full slate and the last time he played in more than 150 games was back in 2009. Tulowitzki has averaged 88 games over the last three seasons and this year he has been able to stay healthy.

According to Jon Heyman at CBS Sports, the Washington Nationals have "made it clear" that if the Rockies do end up shopping Tulowitzki this year that they would "want to be involved" in any talks. The Nationals have a deep farm system with names like A.J. Cole, Reynaldo Lopez, Erick Fedde and Joe Ross, but Heyman writes that Lucas Giolito is likely off limits in any deal for the Nats.

Tulowitzki is one of the best offensive shortstops in the league when healthy and last year he hit .340 with 21 home runs and 52 RBIs in 91 games. The previous season Tulowitzki played in 126 games and hit .312 with 25 homes runs and 82 RBIs. This season Tulowitzki is hitting .276 with two home runs and 13 RBIs with 17 runs in 35 games played.

Carlos Gonzalez is another potential target for teams at the trade deadline and he could be moved if the Rockies slump. Gonzalez has been mentioned in trade rumors in the past and this year he is hitting .205 with four home runs and 12 RBIs this season in 36 games. The Rockies also could consider deals with players like Corey Dickerson, Nolan Arenado, Charlie Blackmon or Justin Morneau.
