The Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors are set for Game 2 of the NBA playoffs in the western conference finals and the matchup is from ESPN and the WatchESPN website streaming live at 9 pm ET as James Harden, Stephen Curry, Dwight Howard and Klay Thompson battle with the series 1-0 for Golden State at Oracle Arena.
The Warriors were the best home team in the league during the regular season and they lost just two games there this regular season. Stephen Curry comes in after having a great Game 1 with 34 points, six rebounds and five assists and now he is looking to get his team to a 2-0 lead in the series. Curry was fined for flopping in the first game and he comes in after leading the Warriors in scoring with 34 points.
Curry had a strong game once again with six rebounds and five assists and Draymond Green led with 12 rebounds and eight assists. The Rockets dealt with an injury to Dwight Howard in the first game and he comes in after putting up 13 rebounds, while Harden had 28 points and nine assists. Harden has been great through the playoffs and he had 11 rebounds and nine assists to give the Rockets a chance.
Howard comes in as a game time decision and even if he does play, he obviously will not be 100 percent and that gives the Warriors an advantage. Howard led the Rockets in rebounding, but he was not as explosive in the second half of the game and now the Rockets will have to find a way without him totally healthy. The Rockets may benefit from playing a faster lineup, but the Warriors do that better than anyone.
Curry was able to find a number of open looks in the game on Tuesday and the Warriors have been shooting the ball very well through the playoffs. The Rockets need to get more scoring from their guards and while Harden has been doing all he can, he needs more help from his bench.
