Manchester United and Arsenal are playing on the English Premier League schedule on Sunday and the match from Old Trafford starts at 11 am ET on the NBC Sports Network and streaming online from the NBCSN Live Extra website as the EPL season gets closer to ending and these clubs are battling for position in the Champions League on the table standings.

Arsenal and Man United were in position to make runs at Chelsea this season, but eventually the Blues pulled away and they have won the trophy. Man United is returning to the Champions League as long as they don't completely choke at the end and that is a big improvement after what happened last season. Man United will be without Wayne Rooney and Luke Shaw for the match and it comes as Angel Di Maria, Robin van Persie and Marcos Rojo will return.

Danny Welbeck won't get the chance to play against his old team while dealing with a knee injury and Arsenal will have Aaron Ramsey available to play. One of these teams will end up in the Champions League playoff and while they should advance, it always is tough to have to play that round. United has played up and down in the second half and they are coming in after losing games to Chelsea, Everton and West Brom at points over the last stretch.

Arsenal had to deal with playing in the playoff and now they could do it again after coming into the top four last year in the EPL standings. Arsenal can still get things going even with a loss, but they can put themselves in strong position with a head to head win here. The team would like to avoid the UCL playoff next season and wins at the end of the year could get it done. The team was defeated by Swansea and Arsenal won this head to head matchup earlier in March in the FA Cup.

Welbeck scored the winning goal in that match and now Arsenal will be looking to take down Manchester United again. Arsenal comes in two points ahead of Manchester United on the table standings and this is key for the team if they want to stay in third heading into the final week. Man United has a good lead on Liverpool with a six point lead and they want to finish things off as well.

Man United has played well against Arsenal in the EPL and they have not lost in seven matchups with the team coming in, winning five games. Arsenal won at Old Trafford in the FA Cup match and they last won in league play in 2006 against Man United on the road. Man United has lost one of the last eight league games at Old Trafford and the team has played very well at home all season, finishing second in points at home against Chelsea.
