Manchester City has had a tough run in the Premier League at times this season and Manuel Pellegrini could be fired if they finish out of the EL top four and if that happens, reports say the team will chase Pep Guardiola and try to sway him into a move from Bayern Munich to England to take over for the defending Barclays champions.

According to the BBC, reports have linked Guardiola to Manchester City as the EPL season gets closer to the end, as Pellegrini could be in danger of getting sacked. Guardiola is considered to be a "long-term target" for Man City and they could chase him after the season ends. Guardiola has said that he is not thinking about going anywhere and this comes as his team is close to clinching its third straight Bundesliga title.

Man City has been up and down this year and getting Guardiola would be a major move. Guardiola previously won the German League with the team and he is about to face Borussia Dortmund in the German Cup semi-finals. The team looks like the favorites there and they also were in the Champions League this year once again. The team plays Porto after losing to the club in the first leg match.

Man City is currently fourth in the English Premier League standings and they come in after a win against West Ham.

"My future is: Wednesday free, Thursday training, and, of course, next year to be here. That's my future," said Guardiola when asked about his plans, according to the BBC.
