The Pittsburgh Steelers are hosting wide receiver Jaelen Strong for a pre-draft visit and he could be a target for Ben Roethlisberger and the team in the NFL draft after having a great season at Arizona State, as the team may want to add depth behind Antonio Brown, Markus Wheaton and Martavis Bryant.

The Steelers were one of the best passing teams in the league last season and now they could add more if they draft Strong. According to Pro Football Talk, Bob Labriola of Steelers Digest reported that the team is hosting Strong on Friday, a couple weeks before the draft starts. Strong put up very good numbers last season, making  82 receptions for 1,165 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Strong has good size at 6-2, 217 pounds and he could be a very versatile option alongside Antonio Brown, who had a huge season in 2014. Strong is dealing with a wrist issue coming into the draft, but reports say he will not need surgery. Strong had a short career at ASU, but it was very productive with back to back seasons of at least 1000 yards.

Last season Strong averaged 14 yards per catch and in 2013 he had 75 catches for 1122 yards and seven touchdowns. Strong has some medical issues coming into the draft, but the receiver said he will not need surgery. The injury issue actually could be a benefit to the Steelers, as strong may drop down farther than he should before getting drafted. The Steelers pick at 21 and Strong could be there when they are on the clock, but it could cut close.

The wideout class last season was looked at as very deep with Odell Beckham, Jordan Matthews, Kelvin Benjamin and Mike Evans making noise and now this year the class could be just as good. The position is very deep and past the top guys like Amari Cooper and Kevin White are names like Strong, DeVante Parker, Justin Hardy, Nelson Agholor and Breshad Perriman.
