It is clear the Cleveland Browns are not satisfied with their quarterback options heading into the 2015 season. Faith is wavering on Johnny Manziel and Josh McCown may or may not bounce back from a down season in 2014. Both players are inspiring very little confident in both the fan base and the coaching staff forcing the Browns to look at all options in front of them regarding the position. The issue is making the right move.

The latest chapter in the quarterback saga of the Cleveland Browns involves late-round options. According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Browns have worked out Garrett Grayson and Bryce Petty heading into the draft at the end of the month. Both quarterbacks are expected to be selected in either the end of the second round or somewhere in the third round. Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota are the top options and the Browns have all-but given up hope on that idea happening.

Both Grayson and Petty have excellent arm strength and great accuracy. Their potential to be successful at the next level is obvious. The issue is general manager Ray Farmer still being undecided with how to get another quarterback. The Plain Dealer is reporting the Browns are still eyeing a trade up for Mariota, but do not believe they will offer the package to get a deal done. With two first-round picks, Cleveland could fill other needs like getting a top wide receiver before targeting Petty or Grayson in a later round.

There is still the lingering question mark over Manziel's head. The Browns are not looking to release Manziel, but that has not stopped them from seeking a trade. Mark Eckel of NJ.com reported that the Browns offered Manziel and a high draft pick to the Eagles for Sam Bradford. However, Bradford told his agent he would not sign a long-term deal with Cleveland if traded. Eckel reports that trade talks are now off and Cleveland will not seek a deal for Bradford.

Of course the Browns could look to other trade options. The Tampa Bay Times is reporting that Mike Glennon is available. The Washington Redskins are taking calls for Kirk Cousins, although NBC Washington reports trade interest has been slim to none on the backup. The best move for the Browns could simply be to hold on to Manziel and draft a quarterback in a later round while simply hoping someone steps up as the starter.
