The Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Indians are playing an AL Central division matchup on Wednesday and the game from Progressive Field starts at 12:10 pm ET for afternoon baseball and the pitching matchup has John Danks and Trevor Bauer on the mound as the teams try and get things going early in the season.

The central is shaping up to be one of the toughest divisions in baseball and the Indians and White Sox are both under .500 to start the season. The Royals and Tigers have started off strong and both teams have seven wins and that should set the pace in the division after those teams made the playoffs last year. The Indians and White Sox have been savvy picks for the postseason and now they will battle against each other.

The Indians are trying to avoid five straight losses at home to open the season and this has the White Sox the chance to win four in a row. The White Sox have played better after a tough start and the two game series will finish up after the White Sox won against the Indians in the first matchup. Carlos Carrasco was hit in the first game and had to leave and he joins Michael Brantley and Yan Gomes as injured players for the Indians.

Brantley has been out for five games and the Indians are hoping that he can return soon. Brandon Moss is looking to get things going with just two hits in 20 chances this year so far and he was one of the big additions for the team. The Indians have not lost all five games at home to start the season in over 100 years, according to the Associated Press.

Jose Abreu had a home run in the matchup for the White Sox and Jose Quintana was strong with just one run allowed in the game against the Indians. The White Sox are expecting Danks to bounce back after losing to the Royals in the first start of the season and now the two teams will try and bounce back after slow starts.
