The Atlanta Braves have gotten off to a surprisingly successful start after selling off over half the team, but Tuesday night's game was certainly not an example of that. The Miami Marlins on the other hand finally showed signs of life after a struggling start to their season. The Braves swept the Marlins in their opening three-game series of the season, but now Atlanta is looking to bounce back after Miami got the 8-2 win on Tuesday night.

The Marlins have been predicted to be a dark horse this season after several offseason upgrades to their offense and pitching rotation. That has not been proven true to start the year as Miami sits at 2-6 on the year. However, they pulled things together to beat the Braves and avoid a second sweep from the Braves. Giancarlo Stanton went 3 for 3 with four RBIs after starting the season 0 for 12. Meanwhile both Dee Gordon and Ichiro Suzuki both got two runs apiece.

However, the win for Miami comes at a price. The team is not at risk of being without left fielder Christian Yelich. The star sat out the game with back tightness and is day-to-day. It is unknown if he will be healthy for the Wednesday game against the Braves as Miami could use the left fielder and his .305 average in 33 games against the Braves. Meanwhile, Miami will hand the ball to Dan Haren who looked strong in his season debut with the Marlins. The pitcher allowed one run over six innings in a win over the Tampa Bay Rays. Haren hhas a 3-0 record against the Bravs with 2.45 ERA in four starts against the team.

Atlanta is in need of a bounce back. The team has started the season 6-2 with offense production coming well for the team. However, that was not the case on Tuesday as the Braves could only muster up two solo home runs. The Braves will give Eric Stults the start on Wednesday. The veteran gave up five runs and seven hits in three innings in his debut with the team. The Braves need him to improve on that as pitching is clearly an issue for the team.
