The MLB season has started and with Opening Day now in the books, teams will try and win their first series of the year and hold onto early division leads, with the Blue Jays, Seattle Mariners, Detroit Tigers, Oakland Athletics, Atlanta Braves, St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Dodgers come in after winning their opening games of the year.

The Yankees got off to a rough start at home against the Blue Jays, losing 6-1 and getting smacked around at Yankee Stadium. Masahiro Tanaka had a tough day and gave up some runs and the Yankees only mustered three hits, although Brett Gardner added a home run. A-Rod got a nice ovation and it was one of the loudest of the game for the Yankees.

The Mariners won another Opening Day game with Felix Hernandez on the mound and now their anticipated season is off to the right start. Hernandez had 10 strikeouts and shut down the Angels, giving up only a home run to reigning MVP Mike Trout. Seth Smith had three hits and Dustin Ackley hit a home run and now James Paxton will take the mound on Tuesday night.

The Tigers won over the Twins with a 4-0 shutout and a great game from David Price, while the Rockies beat around the Brewers in a sloppy game from Milwaukee. The Red Sox won 8-0 with some power after two home runs from Hanley Ramirez to open the season in Philly, while the Orioles won against the Rays on the road.

The Mets won on the road against the Nationals to start the season with a win, while the Royals beat up the White Sox 10-1 at home. The Reds won over the Pirates, while the Braves won a close game against the Marlins. The Dodgers won after a late home run from Jimmy Rollins, while the Giants won over the D-Backs and the Astros won over the Astros. Games continue on Tuesday and Wednesday.
